What do we do to make this Award sustainable?
It’s our priority to ensure that our operations reflect the same values we promote in our Award program and the Circular Economy Forum. Explore what we are doing to live by our values.
Digital operations
All our internal documents are digital, and operations are paperless, except the notebooks we take notes in.
We keep the notebooks for long and dispose as paper for recycling.
Digital media material
The Award marketing campaign comprises digital materials and non-print media for promotions, including electronic advertisements, invitations, brochures etc.
Circular trophy
The Award trophy is made of recycled materials, without any coating to keep it easily recyclable. We request recognized organizations to return the trophies when the Award validity is over to get them redone for the next Award cycle.
Circular certificate
The certificates for the recognised organisations and support partners are made from 100% recycled paper.
Online assessment
We minimize our carbon footprint from transportation by conducting our assessments online as much as possible.
Reduced single use plastic
Single-use plastic is eliminated as much as possible. At the Circular Economy Forum & Award Ceremony we do not provide name tags and we encourage attendees to bring their own water bottles or use the refillable bottles provided at the venue to refill from the water dispensers.
Digital registration
To access the Circular Economy Forum & Award Ceremony attendees register online and receive electronic badges for entry.
Reducing food waste
To minimize food waste at the event, we contract F&B experts for providing precise quantity according to the event attendance. We evaluate and select our vendors not only on price and quality but also consider their environment footprint, encouraging them to go circular.
Reusing materials
The materials used to organise the event, such as backdrop, stage and stands are made out of recycled or reused materials as much as feasible. After the event these are reused or recycled.
Optimized transportation
The Award participants are from the neighbouring countries to minimize carbon footprint from travelling. Event venue is arranged near the metro station to encourage the attendees to use public transport. We estimate carbon footprint of the event participants and request them to offset it.
Selection of the event venue
We carefully select the venue for the Circular Economy Forum & Award Ceremony, partnering only with the providers who adopt principles of circularity and sustainable practices.
